Dinorwic Marina
Dinorwic Marina is a Historic Grade II Listed Marina, situated on the Menai Straits in North Wales just five miles from the Cities of Bangor and Caernarfon.
The World Heritage Site of Caernarfon Castle is also close by.
The Menai Straits is a narrow stretch of tidal water about 25 Kilometres long that separates the Isle of Anglesey from the mainland.
The Marina
The Marina can berth up to 125 boats and consists of two areas, a Tidal Pontoon Basin that offers good protection and a locked Basin that is extremely sheltered and was formally a Dock constructed in the 19th century to export slate, from the Dinorwic Slate Quarries via a narrow gauge railway.
The marina office is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday
Marine diesel is available in the lock, during locking hours
Toilet, shower and laundry facilities are situated adjacent to the Marina Office.
Water and electricity is available at numerous points around the marina.
The marina has a slipway in the Tidal Pontoon Basin and a 20 Tonne lift is also available in the Locked Basin. A limited amount of ashore storage is available.
Dinorwic Marina are members of the 'Transeurope' group of independent marinas in the UK, Channel Islands, France, Ireland, Holland, Spain and the Canary Islands.
Annual Berth Holders are entitled to a 50% discount on visitor fees for up to 5 consecutive days when visiting another member marina. www.transeuropemarinas.com
