Kip Marina

Kip Marina is set on the southern shore of the River Clyde alongside some of the most picturesque sailing areas on the river and the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park.  Centrally located for cruising to the upper firth, Kyles of Bute, Arran or even up to Ardrishaig and the Crinan Canal to Scotland’s West Coast.

Our 600 berths are fully serviced with 240v electricity and water supply.  Access to the Clyde is available at all states of the tide.  The site is manned 24 hours with full CCTV coverage and electronic access gates.  Uniquely created inside the existing shore line our marina basin is the most sheltered on Scotland’s West Coast.  Our 4 webcams allow you to check the Marina from the comfort of your own home.

Boatyard Services

For your convenience diesel and gas sales are available 24 hours.

Purpose built lifting out pier, 50 ton marine hoist, 25 ton crane, covered storage available on short term let, hardstanding for 150 boats.

Well stocked chandlery, ample car and trailer parking.

On site Yanmar, Volvo-Penta and Cummins engineers, electronic and electrical engineers, mast and rigging specialists, GRP repairs inc osmosis treatment, re-sprays etc, sailmakers and repairers, cover makers/repairers, new boat and brokerage sales, outboard sales and service.

By road

On reaching Glasgow follow signs for airport, Greenock, Largs (A78).  The Marina entrance is clearly sign posted from the main road.

By Rail
There are fast Intercity links to Glasgow Central then an hourly service to Inverkip.

By Air
Glasgow and Prestwick International airports are close by.

By Sea
Channel lit mark 55 54 48N 04 52 95W

Once north of the Cumbrae islands and into the Firth of Clyde, Toward Point lighthouse to port and the tall Inverkip chimney to stbd will come into sight.  On rounding the headland at the chimney the marina entrance and the green flashing (5 secs) buoy marking the channel entrance is ahead.  Contact to the marina is on VHF Channel 80 call sign “Kip Marina”
