Security – An electronic key card is issued to permanent berth holders giving 24 hour access to the facilities block and pontoons.
Areas of the site are monitored by CCTV and being in the middle of the town, the local police make regular checks throughout the day and night.
Marina Gate – The marina maintains an impounded depth of around 2 metres at low tide, and this offers a accessibility window of approximately 2 ½ hours either side of high tide. The marina sill gate is automatic and is controlled by the water depths, and will only be overridden in an emergency. There is an automatic red and green traffic light system to maintain safe passage for vessels entering and departing the marina. Under no circumstances may a boat attempt to enter or leave when the red lights are showing.
Electricity – Metered electricity is available to the majority of marina berths and in the boat yard. There is no separate electricity charge for visiting boats.
Water - The water supplies on the pontoons are all potable and are checked regularly for water quality.
Gas - Calor Gas and Camping Gaz is available from the on-site chandlery during normal working hours.
Fuel - Marine diesel is available from the fuelling pontoon 7 days a week, from 0730 to 1630 hours.
Waste and recycling – The marina has a selection of bins including general waste, dry mixed recyclables, glass, waste oil and batteries.
Internet access – Wireless broadband coverage is available over the majority of the site. We will require your device’s MAC address in order to complete the connection. (details and instructions available from the marina office).
Laundry - There is a laundry room located next to the facilities block, which contains a washer, dryer, deep sinks and hanging drying rack. The machines operate using £1 coins, and laundry tablets are available to buy from the marina office.
Telephones - There is a payphone located 2 minutes away from the marina. For mobile telephone coverage, both Orange and 02 seem to work well, although coverage can be patchy at times.
Boat Yard – Watchet Harbour Marina operates a crane with 15 tonne capacity, along with a small boat yard. Owners are welcome to work on their own boats, or independent companies are welcome to work on the site subject to proof on public liability insurance and payment of either a small daily or annual fee. We can offer a list of recommended local companies to cover the majority of services required.
Marina slipway - The slipway in the marina is available for a small fee during periods when the marina gate is open. Secure trailer storage is available. There is a public slipway located in the outer harbour which is also available for a small fee, but it should be noted that this slipway can be exposed to any incoming swell.
There is also a drying area available for a small fee next to the marina slipway.
