Hi guys and Girls - As some of you may know the Cowes Torquay Cowes race takes place on Sunday (28th August) and the BananaShark Stirling will be there from Friday to Monday. On Saturday there is a meeting about the Round Britain race next year, so if you are thinking of entering, have entered or are just nosey come along - it's at 1715 at the Cowes Corinthian YC.

Here's a short video of the new boat doing about 70mph! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wnJgGbVvKU

That looks pretty impressive, despite the calm sea it almost makes my bones ache just watching.
Where do you do your test runs, we rarely get seas as calm as that up in the Solent even when there is no wind?

That was just off Salcombe - the camera flattens the sea a little though. I did have a friend of my wife's and my stepson on board (RM Officer so no problem there!) so I wasn't pushing it too hard!

We're in Cowes now and looking forward to the race tomorrow.
