General warning

Postby jokaboat » Fri Apr 27, 2012 3:54 pm

Last game of the footy season tomorrow. Saints at home kicking off 12:30.

Avoid bottom of town from 11:00 onwards and probably after the match as there will either be mass celebrations with Saints being promoted, or riots if we lose at home to Coventry.

Come on you Reds

This will be a great away fixture for me and Reading as well for next season If saints do go up. Mind you won't be much good if we get relegated!

It never seems like a very long 'off season' and it'll be the start of next season before you know it! When do they usually start playing again, is it August? I expect they'll be in full swing when we get our summer in autumn!

Normally first week in August so yes never seems a very long summer break.

I have made the mistake of visiting Saxon when Saints were at St Marys and it took me an hour to get from Bond Street out to the crossroads on Northam Road. I left about 5.30 when I thought most of the crowd might of cleared, but still in the thick of it, bigger crowds next season :!: :!:
Stay well clear unless you are attending the game.

Yep car parking so close would be great, we have done the park and ride before which was relatively smooth. I'm a QPR season ticket holder, never a team without drama!

Luckily, I have no interest in football whatsoever  standing in the cold, queuing up, season tickets, travel, disappointment etc. Rather be on my boat, freezing, fuel, disappointment, travel - oh, same 5h1t different hobby

Oh it's "Football", yes I remember that from school.....!

We can't get it on our TV.....it just turns itself off when it comes on.....now Rugby, Cricket and Golf, thats different, no problem there.

You know, there are TV companies making Fishing programmes then there is Wheeler Dealers, LA Ink, Pimp my Ride and then finally some on boats. Examples being...Dream Boats, also one on Narrow Boats and one in which people restore them etc.

I wonder if there is a market for a Boating Series encompassing Tests, Repairs, Technical information, Marina's, A bit of fishing, Radio's, Fish Finders, Nav Systems.......? Hmmm just a thought for a Saturday morning before going to work for the onslaught of lots of Spanish and Italians who don't understand that they are entering an International Airport to fly at 800mph at 35,000ft and not hopping on a Bus to London!!!!
