Hi all, have enjoyed reading some of your posts over the last couple of days, so thought I'd join in.
I'm based in Southampton and have spent the last two summers exploring the solent, (the pubs of the solent)
Looking forward to getting some top tips from all you experienced guys.

As above, let's see some photo and some more info about where you launch / are based etc. As you will have seen there are quite a few of us who are Solent based so chances of cruising in company abound :D

If we get any boat favourable weather that is

when you can keep your head when all those around are losing theirs, you obviously haven't grasped the seriousness of the situation

Hi guys, thanks for the warm welcome.

I have had this boat since March 2010, when I purchased her from Parkstone Bay Marina in Poole, and began the voyage back to Southampton.

After nearly turning round and selling her straight back (poor tide planning at Poole Harbour Entrance) I have enjoyed a couple of great years.

Enjoy regular visits to the Folly, Bucklers Hard, Yarmouth etc and made it down to the Bournemouth air festival last year for a few days.

Photo below (hopefully) was taken at Poole boat haven during the air festival weekend.

Would like to upload something better, but need to get to grips with Flickr and links.

Cheers

Hi V215! I have my boat where your's is kept too. We haven't had her out yet since I moved from MDL Hamble Point to SDS back in March this year. I look forward to meeting you down on the pontoon or on the water if the sun ever decides to appear!

Like you I haven't yet learnt how to download photos onto here. The Saxon Wharf syndicate, of whom a fair few of the chaps on here keep their boats- are all pretty clued up with that sort of thing! I don't think I am very popular with them as I am all chat with no boat pic to prove!!!

You'll find everyone here extremely friendly and very useful indeed.

If you resize your photos to 640 x 480 or take them as VGA size they will upload easily. :D

Welcome V215 :D

Regarding posting pictures, firstly check to see if your camera is set to a low mega pixel setting. If I have taken a picture at 12 mp, I have no chance of loading on any web site. I now leave it on 1 mp which for viewing online is ample and uploads quickly.

I then simply click on upload attachment and browse for the image on the PC. I wouldn't know how to use any of those photo hosting sites.

Ok, what I have done is saved some photos as a jpeg to my document file on the N Drive at work. The only thing is I don't know how to attach them to my own thread on here so that they appear as a photo rather than just a link to a photo? Can anyone help me with this.

Sorry guys, at least I am trying my best!
