I reckon I'll be launching from Parkstone about 11am. Looks to be OKish in the morning and might have a play round sandbanks or go over to Swanage for a play there. Are you still looking at the original itinery or playing it by ear. If you are in Poole Bay 11.30ish we should be able to meet there or alternatively hopefully catch up in Swanage a bit later?

As far as I know we're still on the original itinery, any change and we'll ring you

In my view the system hasn't really changed that much. Just the finer details we are picking over. I.e. its not to be trusted anyway.

Dominic has a cunning plan for anchoring off the beach 8)

What time are you launching tomorrow Gaz?

Anyone about in the evening for a pint or two?

We are launching from Rockley Boat Park as it is cheaper that Cobbs Quay and Salterns and also will store the trailer for the week. Salterns wanted me to re-mortgage the house to store the trailer and Cobbs said they couldn't take the trailer next week as it's the Bournemouth Air Festival (which, as everyone knows, is not next week!)

Realistically, we will not be launching until getting on for 11am. I am not sure of our element of the plan for the day as I suspect I will be juggling my wifes plans (non-boaty) along with my sons (boaty). We will call either by phone or DSC/VHF to find out where you all are?

Hi Marty and welcome to the forum. I've got 4 teenagers potentially so that's not a problem. We'll be heading for Swanage in the morning so watch out for 6 sports boats heading for the beach behind the pier. Ashore for a wander then round to anchor up for a beach barby at Studland. Do drop by to say hello and have a beer.

We won't need any help launching, we have a very nice chap with a very large fork lift truck that takes care of that for us

Looking forward to hearing this cunning plan!!!

Will be around at the end at cobbs for a few pints but not Friday night, also happy to try and catch something for the BBQ if anyone wants me too, no point catching it if no one wants to eat it

And I will also have my camera and a long lens with me so if anyone wants some boat shots we can do that too
when you can keep your head when all those around are losing theirs, you obviously haven't grasped the seriousness of the situation

Leaving around 10am so 4-5 hours travelling puts me at around 3pm at cobbs.

We will be around in the evening for a beer after we have checked in.

It still amazes me why everywhere doesn't have a public pontoon or even a private one that you can pay a couple of quid to stop on for a few hours, for food, shopping etc. Surely the town would benefit.

Does Dom's plan include a bungee anchor by any chance?

Not sure about cunning plan but yes it involves a Bungee anchor though not sure how to use it with 6 boats!
Wiil have to think about that but there is a taxi boat service as well!!!
Looking at possibly going to Swanage on Friday night for red arrows at 6pm then back via Bournemouth for Friday fireworks at 10pm
Leave Poole Quay area at say 4:30 / 5 ish
Depending on weather and work.
Any one fancy it?

We will have to use one of the boats as a ferry this time Dom instead of us all paying the for the water taxi :)

That's a shame Matt, still good that you are coming down though I'm sure we can accommodate, half my crew are going home on sat afternoon so you welcome to join us, or should I ask how many of you there are first? :)

Is there a local supermarket nearby for fuel? save bringing a full tank 250 miles :(

Dom, I'll be getting to Poole about 430 but will not be able to go out till a bit later as I have to wait until the boss turns up by car to take my crew home. Plus I expect I'll have to feed them. Are you staying over night or heading off?
