add me too, Mercurys a mare at low tide but it dont hang around long- worst case scenario we cross over the river to use the all tide ramp the other side. not used the camp site but its OK from what I read and reasonable too. FYI when we start thinking dates -- the IOW festival has moved dates to glastonbury weekend -

good thinking though JB -- gives us something to deliberate over in the cold months ahead

be fair..he didnt make a decision to prioritise...just sorta slipped his mind that his dearly beloved was expecting a new addition whilst he pondered the really important, nay vital and life changing, things in life. We must accept, that we are lesser mortals and can't multi task..and long may that sorry state of affairs continue.

Well the boss and I were talking about this and thinking around April, 2nd week or so. Most people would have shaken off the winter covers by then and had their first couple of trips. Also, and this it tempting fate, for the last couple of years we've had a warm spell about then.

We also want to have another crack at Poole later in the year, hopefully it won't be so windy so we can get a bit more time out than this year

Any other proposals for gatherings?

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I'm good with that-- if things go a bit slow trip wise it would be a good first shake down to blow the cobb webs away in group safety.

Good job I did ask, can I put a request in now as its early doors. We have a wedding on the weekend of 14th April  , so can do weekend before or after. The weekend before is kind of the second weekend in April anyway as the previous sunday is April 1st. :)

At the moment I look pretty clear for an April get together and looking forwards to it.
Ian if you are down this weekend could you give my cover a cursory look over mate, just incase one of my poles has run away!

Looked OK last weekend, I like the way you've tide the cover to the rack to stop the boat blowing away
