Just for the record and to give those of you that do not know the area, my log showed that we had covered 39 nautical miles from Knott End to Knott End and went anticlockwise round Walney Island and the pub break was on Piel Island http://www.pielisland.co.uk/index.php

'Things i don't think I will ever write on a boating forum'

ah poor you. Its much easier when the whole family's life revolves round boats. That was her demo showboat at Ribex last year and the year before. Trouble is she would buy boats that this old *** has to launch and winch back on again. I keep telling her size isnt................ Oh I think I'll stop there.

Sat on the big boat waiting for bits. Replacement rebuilt D12 volvo engine came saturday. Fitted by mechanic thru hole cut in deck, fired up great. Connected other important bits sunday- like the cooling system, and it fired up, ran great and then sorta went bang with lots white smoke. Traced to new injectors put in by Volvo agent in Holland with protective caps still in place. Fuel has blasted thru side of cap ok but then cap has disintegrated leaving injector not torqued right and that has damaged its sleeve. Couriers on way from different directions now with bits and specialized tools. Bugga! Nice day out there too. Looks like I'm gonna be down here all night.

My wife enjoys boating right enough but only when the suns out and the seas calm and I don't go more than 20kts.

Keith
The weather was good enough on shore but I think we might have been struggling with the tide times. Spoke to liverpool today and they think I need a pitch size down on my prop. They're checking to see if they have one in stock so should know tomorrow if they have to order one in. Might even get it sorted for this weekend!
