That is a very good point, 'It does what it says on the tin' is a very good point if it says hull restorer and it doesn't you will have good recourse, if however it says oven cleaner you are stuffed.
My.boat cost more than my Captiva and I would not be tempted to smooth it in oven cleaner no matter how dirty it was. If hull cleaner is £10 why not just pay it?

Well guys I think we agree it is each to their own. I leave my boat in the water and stuff grows on it and falls from the trees so soap and water just doesn't cut it unfortunately. I tried it first on a hidden area and it does not mark the hull in any way, although to be honest I'd be a little worried about the quality of the hull if it did.

'Astonish' was recommended to me, I tried it and it works with very little effort. Why not pay £10? Because I don't need to!

Marigolds are optional, I choose not to wear them

I'd hate to think what you guys would say to the people who use toilet bleach to remove yellowing :)

I have been told more than once that I pretty anal when it comes to looking after my boat.

To me working on it .. is all part of the package that I enjoy about boating.
My boat is as new ... which is pretty good for a 2007 boat, not even a blemish on the hull.

It does take effort to keep it that way - but I guess I enjoy doing that.

I don't smoke, gamble so £10 on a polish is my 'sin' :)
Some people will always find fault - if you find a typo, please consider it put there for you.
