Starboard side is a bit busy at the moment so may have to go port side of the wheel which isnt ideal, because she has non standard throttles the usual space is not there so looking to see if we can move the drive trim switches to port side so the joystick can stay starboard side...
This makes perfect sense. In my opinion and it's by no means right, you want the joystick to be in your peripheral vision within easy reach of the throttles, so that you have use of the steering with the other hand, moving the switches, I think you mean the ones below the gauges on the right, would be for me the best option. I have used a bowthruster which is not close to the throttles, which does work, you can bring her in on throttles and bowthruster alone for the very last bit, but I noticed with a tide running and with wind, it is fussier and not easily and professional and not as coool
Looks like a very professional job they are doing with the bowthruster.
