Hi Ian How long have you been at Saxon, I am sure I have seen your boat this season as one of the new arrivals. I am sure you will find everyone very friendly. How did you get 83 knots on the GPS, I new Huntons were quick, but not that quick!!!
Even so that's pretty impressive stuff. 40 knots feels fast to me
Mind you that fuel tank makes mine look positively frugal, a mere 200 ltrs
If you can sustain that speed, if you had come with us on the round the Island run you could have done Saxon - Cowes - round the Island - Saxon in a tad over an hour Mind you doughnutting at that sort of speed would be interesting

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
For the film Sahara I believe they ordered three boats two fitted with jet drives as they were filming in a sandy river delta with low depth, and the third was a basic empty shell and this was the one they blew up. Not only is Martins wife petite and very pretty the first time I met her she was driving a Hunton at about 50Kts (What a girl !!!).
***Still playing with boats.***
