First trip of the season!

Postby Matt13 » Thu Apr 07, 2011 9:17 pm

As you know it was a glorious day today (for most) so I headed down to the boat with my dad for the first trip of the season. We set off about mid-morning, down the River Itchen onto Southampton Water then up the Hamble to fill the tank up. After leaving the fuel barge £135 lighter but 2 free choc ices better off we then headed off to the Solent for a blast in the flat calm water. Finished off with lunch at the Waterfront Pub at Shamrock Quay (very nice chips!). It really was a lovely day to be out on the boat, great fun and a little bit red on the forehead, should of brought the lotion.

I attached some photos and a video of today.

Nice,

If it all goes to plan I'm going out on Sunday. Forecast looks good so far :D

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Yep Sunday is looking good. In fact near perfect in the SE. Temps of 23. Then next week the weather will sadly make a change for the worse again. I'm possibly going to get out this w/e too in Wavelength !! (Now owned by steve)

not so lucky either- although I'll be in portsmouth I'll be dropping off number 2 son for 7 days yacht training that will be the closest I'll get to a marina just the same as the closest I'll get to flying in 2011 was picking the parents up at Gatwick-- I get all the fun jobs :(

forerunner for a BBQ summer I hope LOL
