Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

destination Piel Island. In the channel between walney island and barrow in furness, two landmarks only a pub and a castle both in differing states of ruin! The castle was built by the abbot of furness to protect the chuch's trade routes to England from the isle of man and Ireland. We've seen the castle before, but we felt the need to visit the pub to check it was still there!

we jumped onboard this for a quick chat-sister ship to the ones daughter and myself skipper in the day jobs. Big jet guards out of the tail end - have to remember that they are there when in tight spaces
