I've noticed a deathly silence from North of the border for a while. Has someone severed internet links?

Where are you Zeb have we done something to offend you?

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Ah but NI is not

a) Scotland
b) North of the border (well it is but you know what I mean

The kilted chaps were quite active a while back but seem to have either frozen to death or been eaten by midges :D

Were still here.....lurking about in the doldrums :D There's not much boating action to be had this side of the border due to the very temperamental weather. Four seasons in one day wears a bit thin after a while :(

Big Zeb is very Q on the other "local" boat forums too :( His wit is missed!!

We've got a whole load of "issues" up here as well with the Loch Lomond charging fiasco.....that's putting loads of people off. My boats been out once this year (work commitments and a fondness for my motorbikes  to blame!!) and proudly boasts 4hrs on the meter......only another 16 before she's run in . I might manage this by 2014 at this rate.

Cheers

Phew, we thought there had been some terrible boat eating disease up there. So it's just the weather after all. Not been great down here either but we're struggling along

I doubt if the weather is going to improve much either for a couple of weeks, as Mary and I fly up to Inverness this coming weekend, they hope we will bring some of this good weather up with us while I'm hopeing we don't bring any of their weather back home with us in a few weeks time.

Looking short term it's looking grim down here as well. The Poole weekend is looking iffy at the moment, especially for those bringing boats round from Southampton.

Unless, of course, they've got the forecast wrong?
