As you can see from the previous pictures there was a window of oppotunity yesterday evening. It had been F6 all day but Metcheck showed a drop in wind speed at 7pm. At 6.30pm it was still blowing a gale so it was into the bar for a swift Leffe Blonde and a Pimms. At 7pm the wind magically dropped to almost nothing so it was all aboard for a trip around the bay at speed.

I suspect that that will be the norm for this week, grabbing opportunities during weather lulls. We had 90 minutes out and got in before a heavy thunderstorm lit up the evening for us.

Certainly glad we didn't come back yesterday. Far to windy.

Day off today but planning to head back to Poole tomorrow for the harbour cruise and possible run home as the weather later in the week is looking more unsettled. We might stay down one mre day though depending one the forecast tomorrow. If you're out tomorrow morning Martin keep an eye out for us although I've got no idea where we'll be

Again quite a nice day despite the forecast. Sat on the beach and swam in the sea.

Virtually no-one went out so it was nice and quiet at sea. Looked rough further out but it was nice enough for a little play closer in (sorry for the wobble but it was on a Zoom lens from the shore.

Next I've got to get the boat home :!:

The forecast is an inconsistent mess this week so I think we'll take a chance tomorrow morning and cut and run for it.

Yes but I would like to get it back this week.

One thing that has not been mentioned about Saturday was just how efffective that bow ladder is on Dream Catcher. Certainly made the beach rafting experience so much easier :D

Beautiful day today.

Spent all day on the beach and in the boat. Had a quick go at Ringoing but the chill in the breeze quickly put off the riders.

Beaching was not a success, probably as my son had not fully lifted the leg making the boat nearly impossible to shift back. Only after struggling to move it did we notice the trim was not fully up.

Finally decided to anchor it out and swim in.

Bought the boat home yesterday to dodge the stronger winds forecast today and the rain tomorrow.

Good run with Poole / Christchuch bays being pretty flat. The Solent was a bit choppy and full of racing raggies, including one catamaran towing a wake boarder :D

Sad sight up the Itcchen though

Glad to hear you got back safely and didn't do a H20 :) And had a good time into the bargain...what more could you ask for?
