350 MAG mpi 300hp/CM 225hp diesel

Anything relating to an Inboard engine, even though it could be called a Sterndrive Engine, it's still inboard.

Oh well, I will just have to wait and see then :(

Exciting times, hope you find your dream boat.

28 footers tend to give a V berth, aft cabin AND a mid convertable dinette which is great for a family of four, leaving the crews quarters made up and still retaining an under cover dining area.

25 footers seem to lack the mid convertable dinette.

At least that is my experience but hey, even the 25 footer will provide much better accommodation for you vs. the Karnic.

It will always be a compromise between age, size and price. Finding that balance is the key; a 25 year old Flybridge, a 10 year old Sportscruiser or a newish Cuddy all being available around the same price. :?

Matt
Go for the bigger boat, you will almost certainly regret it in the future if you don't, even if you have to push yourself financially.
But do remember to factor in the higher running costs in absolutely everything
