First trip of 2012

well this w/e will be our first trip out onto the water............ :D

IWAI - Powerboat branch first meet of 2012.......... Lough Ree ( Southern Ireland ) this Saturday

we are joning a friend on his "new to him" rib for the day,

all meeting at Lakeside Marina which can be seen in the bottom right of the attached map

heading north to Lecarrow Harbour for lunch & a branch meeting ( to arrange the rest of this years events )

Lecarrow can be seen on the lower left hand side of this map

then returning to the marina to recover the boats

most of the gang are staying over in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Athlone for an evening meal & a few pints..... :D

must say really looking forward to the run...... :)

Well my first trip was planned at minus 2C but did not quite happen as posted else where :cry:

Just wrap up and the boating is just as good any time of year.

a great w/e...............a total of 42 peeps for the evening meal but bedtime on Sun morning @ 4am was not a good plan.............. :mrgreen:

Just emailed David at Southwater for the pre season de winterise first week of March. First trip depends on weather after that.
