That weekend, 21/22 April, may be a problem for us as we are off to Cornwall early Monday.
We can always drive to Mercury for an evening beer but will have too much to do especially Sunday to take the boats out.

We could look at a later weekend, how do people think about the first weekend in May? I think that would be bank holiday weekend but would give us the Monday off as well.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Nooooooo! We can't do that May weekend I'm afraid and I've had that April weekend penciled in for months, and there is no way to erase pencil!

Why not do the May one as well for those that can't make April , going by the weather from the last couple of years our boating season lasts April to May anyway so need to get in as much boating as possible!

Yes very short boating season these days, and all these bank holidays when other commitments take up valuable boating time, it just isn't on.
I thought that BH stood for boating holiday especially when all those bankers splash out their unearned bonus on a huge Sunsqueaker. (With apologies to any banker that we may have in our membership   )

for those that can def worth suggesting last minute meets plans etc esp if theres a weather window looming. either that or an inside alternative (remembering the Alderney planning :D)

Good idea, maybe a new section for registeted users only. What do people think?

Sounds good, it's probably best to wait until nearer the time anyway before finalising the meets as its all weather dependant this one in April may not come off if it's pouring down with rain sat and sun!

Had a quick look at the tides for the 21st and high tide Ryde is 12:00. Perfect for us to drop in for lunch and visit Jamie at the lifeboat station (as featured on TV  ) as long as we get out in time to avoid getting harbour locked

We are up for this, although I have not negotiated a weekend pass yet, but I am sure we will sort something out with the Diary Secretary ;)

Based on past Solent experiences we will be quite weather dependant.
