I've created a swap shop forum for your specialist tools that you have kicking around, or that you might want to borrow. Up to you what rules, postage, returns etc. that you want to set.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Now that was premature "forumcreation", there maybe a doctors remedy for that. I hadn't finished with the apprentice jokes.

Please feel free to carry on the jokes.

I was sent off for a replacement bubble for a spirit level as well as the long weight.

That does remind me of when I worked at a leisure club and played a trick on a work experience lad. I told him that the swimming pool level looked uneven and that he needed to get a bucket, fill it up with water from the shallow end, walk to the deep end then pour said contents of bucket into the deep end. If he did it 7 times (which he did) then the pool would be just about level. I did tell him afterwards I was pulling his leg and he saw the funny side so no harm done in the end. :)

done way worse than that...

we sent the apprentice to the shop next door to ask for some empty boxes......

the shop next door was an undertakers!
when you can keep your head when all those around are losing theirs, you obviously haven't grasped the seriousness of the situation
