Wicked Winter

RacePicTypical. You leave the country for five minutes and all hell breaks loose. John Cooke reports on a month to remember.

A bit more P1 news . . .

And in another stroke of news for the P1 guys, the series that started it all off and which has been running this season under the name of Grand Prix of the Sea (rather confusingly shortened to GPS) has passed into new ownership. The new Maltese owners, International Sea Racing, are a relatively new company and very little is known about them just yet but the good news is that everything has been approved by the international governing body, the UIM.

The ‘Calls One’ series not only has a new set of rules, but also a new rights owner with a better known racing name. In fact, they are already running the Formula One series around the world and doing a great job, so they are confident of bringing big results. Only time will tell how successful they become, but in the mean time, congratulations to The Fazza (Victory) team, who emerged victorious in the World Class One Championship with an amazing ninth win in Dubai. It was a fitting tribute to their two team mates, Mohammad Al Mehairi and Jean-Marc Sanchez, who lost their lives 12 months ago.
