Having camped overnight on Dartmoor lifeboat volunteers from Dart lifeboat station ran, cycled and rowed back to Dartmouth on Friday 6 August in continuous rain, raising over £2800 in sponsorship for the RNLI.
The rain and wind began as they broke camp and then continued all day...

Ramsgate RNLI is holding its annual "Open Day" on Sunday, 22 August, 2010 when the boathouse and the lifeboats will be open to the general public from 10.30am - call-outs permitting!
As well as RNLI gifts, cards and general souvenirs being on sale there will also be second-hand books and an information stall from the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB)...

Eastbourne RNLI will be holding their annual regatta over the forthcoming Bank Holiday of Saturday 28, Sunday 29 & Monday 30 August.
Once again the Eastbourne RNLI Regatta is taking place at the end of August to raise funds for RNLI lifeboats...
