New Hysucat Ribcat Reduces Impact Shock to Crews

ribWith a new hull designed by Malan Conradie the new ribcat boasts a wider hull that provides great comfort and stability.

The inherent impact shock that deep-V mono-hull RIBS transmit is vastly reduced. This is of value to commercial and military operators who are concerned about the potential spinal damage to crew exposed to long periods of high speed activity when at sea. After many years of research and development in South Africa, during which the catamaran RIB hydrofoil principle has been 'cloned' by various other builders resulting in notably inferior performances, the original team have emerged with a new creation. PRICE IN THE REGION OF £27,000

Yamaha Powers Record Breaking 5,300 Mile Pontoon Boat Trip

pontoonColorado based Lyn Morgan has just completed an eight week journey by completing the Grand Loop around, and across, North America. What is remarkable is that he did not do so on board a luxury Grand Banks or a Fleming designed for the job but on an open 'pontoon boat' powered by a single Yamaha F250 outboard.

The Grand Loop is one of the world’s most exciting and popular cruises covering the eastern portion of the USA. It includes the Atlantic and Gulf Intracoastal Waterways, the Great Lakes and Canadian Heritage Canals and the inland rivers of American heartland. To complete the trip Morgan travelled down the Mississippi into the Gulf of Mexico, up the eastern seaboard and back through the great lakes managing to cruise at 20-35mph depending on the conditions.
