Featuring Suziki’s Lean Burn Fuel Control technology three new outboards, announced earlier this year, will be on show for the first time at this year’s Southampton Boat Show continuing the update of existing engines.
First seen at the Miami Boat Show the new DF40 and DF50 promise improved fuel efficiency, lower weight and a more compact profile demanded by today’s boaters. With Lean Burn Fuel Control technology constantly monitoring these engines the multi point fuel injection system delivers optimum fuel efficiency at all times with up to 23% fuel savings over current engines in the cruising range. The two new 3-cylinder twin cam twelve valve engines have a capacity of 941cc. In tests the new DF50 has been seen to give 26% greater acceleration and 6% greater top speed than the existing DF50.
Suzuki’s original award winning DF300 was the first ever 300hp 4-stroke outboard setting a benchmark for others to match. Now the new DF300, which also features Lean Burn Control technology reaches new levels of technology including a revolutionary Oxygen Feedback Control System to provide boaters with dramatic improvement in fuel economy.
